Make A Change...
...Remember, it takes six months to train a man to be a Marine, but only two days to help the marine back into a man. These hero's need equal time to regain what the military took away from them... themselves.
Our military is trained not to speak out much less admit a frailty. According to The Miles Foundation report, calls to their domestic violence hotline have increased from 50 per month to 500. Officer divorce rates have skyrocketed up 78% since 2003, and crime and homelessness have escalated out of control.
Right now, three veterans per day in California alone commit suicide, and since the end of the Vietnam war, over 110,000 Vietnam veterans and counting have taken their own lives.
When our military men and women return from the Middle East, they will be subject to the same ghastly numbers of PTSD related psychiatric problems. It is paramount that local communities like ours step up and help to repair the damage done
