Hope For Our Heros Rummage Sale

On a sunny Santa Barbara weekend in December '06, the Lehner Foundation held its first annual “Hope For Our Heros” rummage sale! The event was a great success and put us $9430 closer to our goal of opening a residential combat PTSD treatment center for veterans of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Furniture, designer clothing, jemstone jewelry, antiques, collectibles, and more abounded, making the two day event a treasure hunters dream come true! Representatives from Wells Fargo Bank manned the cashiers tables, while hard working volunteers dilligently sorted, priced and recycled endless donation items into the happy hands of over 450 event attendees! Co-chairs Sarah Farmer and Marlena Granaroli would like to thank everyone who made this annual event possible:

Mr and Mrs Frank F. Reed for kindly and generously donating the beautiful location for our two day sale!

Melissa Evans @ Santa Barbara News Press for her excellent and comprehensive article on The Lehner Foundation and combat PTSD.

Billy Connell for not only providing the best hotdogs under the sun but generously donating 100% of the proceeds to The Lehner Foundation! Semper Fi!
